Sometimes very simple recepies make a difference. These fritters are one of them. The taste is rather neutral, so they can be combined well with cream, aivar, chutney or marmelade and chocolate. I love them most with plum jam. And even the beginners can make them easily.
Fritters recipe
Ingredients for fritters
- two eggs- 2 dcl (1 cup) of yogurt
- 200 - 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tea-spoon of salt
- 1 baking powder
- oil for deep frying
Put the ingredients (except oil) in the bowl - be careful just with the flour, dont't use the whole amount. Beat them until you get a thick paste, add more flour if necessary.
Tip: Add 0,5 dcl of rum or brandy in the paste, it will absorb less fat during frying.
It is good to leave the paste at least 10 minutes before frying, but if you are in the hurry, not necessary.
Heat the oil and using two spoons, put smaller amounts of paste in it. Fry a few at a time, until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels. Enjoy!
Another tip: If you don't serve them immendiately and they get cold, warm them up in microwave.
